Bankers joining the SouthState team include:
Ryan Berry – financial consultant, Richmond, Virginia – After joining SouthState, he worked in wealth management for over a decade and spent five years as a merchant banker at BB&T.He has held various positions including Group Director, Wealth Lending, where he served on the Wealth Division’s senior leadership team and managed responsibility for originating and servicing more than $6 billion in terms of credit commitments.In the community, Berry has been an active leader in outreach and volunteer programs Virginia and North Carolina.He is excited to apply his knowledge and skills to help drive the growth of investment services in the U.S. Virginia market.
Rob Hertenstein – Merchant Banker, Birmingham, Alabama – Banking veteran with commercial, retail and investment experience. He joins SouthState from PNC, where he served as Relationship Manager. Hertenstein’s business development experience in the small business and commercial sectors will enhance local efforts to expand the Southern State footprint.
Lorraine Hurd – Premier Private Banker, Savannah, Georgia – from SouthState rhythm bank For the past two years, she has been a relationship manager. She has extensive experience in the financial industry, from teller to market leader to retail market manager, at banks such as Wells Fargo and Synovus. Heard looks forward to helping small business owners and professionals with their business and personal banking needs.
Rob Hallett – Commercial Banking Relationship Manager, Huntsville, Alabama – also joined SouthState from rhythm bank Over 10 years of experience in banking and financial services. He previously served as Relationship Manager for Cadence and Branch Manager for Regions Bank. In the community, Hallett serves on the Executive Committee and oversees the CARE Center’s Finance Committee.He plans to focus on growing SouthState’s small business banking business North Alabama.
david perry – Commercial Banking Relationship Manager, Augusta, Georgia – Over 15 years of leadership and sales experience. Most recently, he served as a loan originator at Augusta Mortgage Company. Perry takes the lead in advising and educating clients on loan options, providing them with the best product for their needs.
