The U.S. Senate has installed new technology to help Pennsylvania Senator and stroke survivor John Fetterman keep track of proceedings. The armed sergeant installed a live caption screen on Fetterman’s desk that will display Senate minutes, Time magazine reported. A second screen will be installed at the front of the conference hall for Fetterman to use while chairing the meeting. Fetterman will also be able to use a wireless tablet during committee hearings. The tablet will display live captions, allowing him to ask the witnesses questions. In a statement to The Times, Army Sergeant Karen Gibson said, “I am proud of the work our team has done in support of Senator Fetterman and thank the many Sergeant at Arms professionals who quickly developed and implemented the These innovative solutions.”
