QuickLogic is partnering with MA Technology to launch its eFPGA IP in Taiwan.
Fast Logic has signed an agreement with MA Technology to make its embedded FPGA (eFPGA) IP available for use in Taiwan. This distribution agreement enables MA Technology to expand its many IP offerings by adding eFPGA IP, providing SoC developers with unprecedented post-production design flexibility.
MA Technology is a major provider in a wide range of IP Taiwan. Their products include IP from companies such as eTopus and Mobiveil that complement the eFPGA IP provided by QuickLogic. The company’s target applications are storage, communications, networking, green energy, consumer electronics and industrial computers, all of which are well served by eFPGA technology.
Adding eFPGA blocks to an SoC along with other IP from MA Technology enables SoC design teams to make post-manufacturing changes to their devices. Having this level of flexibility enables them to respond to new competitive threats, add new features as the market evolves, integrate rapidly changing design standards, and serve market and product adjacencies, all without spending time and money creating new equipment.
