In order to standardize the management of reserves and resources for assets in different geographies, Pertamina has launched guidance for companies affected by SPE’s Petroleum Resource Management System (PRMS). The tool, called Project Box, enables reserves analysts to map all projects, assess portfolios and monitor project progress through the development and exploration phases. In addition, the Project Box, all reserves and resources data and other strategic information are stored and maintained by in-house software in accordance with digitization activities.
As Indonesia’s state-owned energy company, Pertamina manages more than 800 structures in Indonesia and overseas. From a structural point of view, most of the company’s assets are related to the two islands of Sumatra and Java, which together contribute more than 75% of these assets. However, Kalimantan is more important in terms of initial petroleum reserves (PIIP).
