Naugtaq’s father, accused of killing his 11-month-old daughter, has been taken into custody, police said.

Francisquini has been on the run for two weeks. He is accused of killing his youngest daughter, Camila Frances Quiney. He was taken into custody in the 400 Grand St. area.
Camilla Francisquini was strangled, stabbed and dismembered on Nov. 12, Naugatuck police said. 18. Authorities have obtained a warrant for her father’s murder in exceptional circumstances with possible injury to a minor. His bond is set at $5 million.
At a news conference Friday night, police said Frances Quiney’s arrest was “a direct result of the community.”
Frances Quiney was arrested after a concerned citizen called an anonymous tip line, police said. Responders established a conversation with him and he was eventually taken into safe custody at a bus stop in the area.
The caller told police Frances Quiney had changed his appearance but was still recognizable.
Police described the murder as heinous and horrific.
Police Chief Colin McAllister said officers had been working non-stop for the past two weeks to deliver justice for Camilla Jr.
“[These officers] will carry this case with them for the rest of their lives,” McAllister said.
He hopes the community feels a sense of relief. McAllister said he wanted to reassure people that Francisquini, who faces a slew of charges, will not be released.
“We hope that [the community] We can breathe a sigh of relief knowing this violent offender is in custody,” the police chief said.

Francisquini will appear in court on Monday.
