After giving us three crazy games on Thanksgiving, the NFL might top out with a few crazy games on Sunday.
In Cleveland, Tom Brady suffered the first loss of his career when his team led by seven or more points in the final two minutes of regulation. Before Sunday, Brady was 218-0 in those situations, but after Brady saw his team lose 23-17 in overtime to the Browns, they were up 17-10. Case in point, that streak is now over.
In Jacksonville, the Jaguars pulled off the most surprising comeback of the day, and that’s because the Jaguars aren’t known for countering anyone. Before Sunday, the Jaguars had lost 162 straight games since 2000 when they trailed seven games in the final two minutes of the regular season, but after Trevor Lawrence led the Jaguars to a 28-27 rout of the Ravens , the losing streak is over.
Overall, four teams (Browns, Jaguars, Chargers, Raiders) won on Sunday despite trailing by seven or more points in the final two minutes of a regular season, marking the first time in NFL history. This happened for the first time last time.
