LSU Executive Education Launches Certified Public Manager Program
LSU Executive Education will launch the Certified Public Manager program in January.
The nationally recognized program is specifically designed to prepare students for careers in federal, state, and local government and other organizations with public or nonprofit purposes.
The CPM program is a seven-session series that allows participants to earn a nationally recognized public manager certification over one year for $1,075 each. The first session will be held in January. 30 to February 1.

Geological Society of New Orleans to meet Monday
The Geological Society of New Orleans will hold its monthly meeting Monday at 11:30 am at the New Orleans Cannery, 3803 Toulouse Street.
Sönke Dangendorf, assistant professor in the Department of River-Coastal Science and Engineering at Tulane University, will be the keynote speaker.
Admission is $30 for members and $35 for guests. Admission to the virtual meeting is $5 for members and $10 for guests.

New workspaces for small businesses in Baton Rouge
The Brewery, a new meeting place for small businesses, has opened at 16169 Perkins Road in Baton Rouge.
The Brewery provides a space for small groups who want to gather, collaborate, create new ideas and build strong teams.
Daily and hourly meeting room reservations can be booked with annual membership.

PJ’s Coffee opens in Mandeville
PJ’s Coffee is now open at 520 La. 22 in Mandeville.
This is the ninth PJ position owned by brothers Paul, Steven and Scott Ballard. Ballards acquired the company in 2008.
The New Orleans-born chain has 145 locations across the U.S., with more coming soon in Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Lafayette.
