The Medford Fire Department asked people to avoid the North Pacific Highway area near Elm Avenue after a fire broke out at a business called Import Parts Center at 2295 North Pacific Highway Sunday at noon.
Multiple crews were fighting the blaze, which sent thick black smoke into the air in the area, which is home to many businesses.
The Medford Fire Department reported in a Facebook post that the structure fire will temporarily close the North Pacific Highway between Hazel Street and Elm Avenue.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was not immediately identified.
