TORONTO, Nov. 17, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Firan Technology Group Corporation (TSX: FTG ) announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire IMI, Inc. (“IMI”) is headquartered in Haverhill, Massachusetts, just north of Boston. IMI is a specialty radio frequency circuit board manufacturer focused on the aerospace and defense market. Completion of the acquisition is subject to approval by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and other customary closing conditions. These companies will soon apply for CFIUS approval. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of fiscal 2023.
FTG will acquire 100% of IMI’s common stock for a cash consideration of approximately C$2 million, subject to typical closing adjustments. The target company has reported annual sales of approximately C$4-5 million in unaudited financial statements for the past several years.
