Click-to-pay tech now available in campus laundry rooms

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA — Payment terminals for all on-campus washers and dryers were recently upgraded to accept tap-to-pay transactions. LionCash can now be used for laundry service in all Penn State-operated residence halls, no id+ card required.

All Penn State campuses have installed upgraded technology for washers and dryers. Contactless indoctrination is part of a phased approach to creating a digital-centric campus. The Speed Queen app, used to monitor laundry cycles, is not affected by this upgrade.

Expect more technology upgrades in the coming years so more locations will accept tap-to-pay and contactless transactions.

Laundry service remains free for Penn State Harrisburg residents.
