Continuous Air & Surface Pathogen Reduction (CASPR) Technologies will begin sanitizing the air and surfaces of Pioneer Valley Transit Authority (PVTA) buses using a CASPR Transit model designed for buses and trains.
PVTA installed the technology on all 189 buses in its fleet in June. Concealers will be installed at the front and rear of all buses, and window stickers with QR codes will be placed on windows near the front doors to provide passengers with information on the continuous work technology and how it works.
“CASPR’s technology gives our passengers added peace of mind knowing that the air and surfaces inside the bus are continuously sanitized,” said Brandy Pelletier, PVTA Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations Manager. Seeing CASPR Transit gives them more confidence in choosing to use public transport.”
Since its inception in 2016, CASPR Technologies solutions have been working to ensure that the air you inhale is the safest possible. Its award-winning, patent-pending NCC technology actively and continuously sanitizes indoor air and surfaces at the molecular level by converting water and oxygen in the air to low-level, safe yet effective hydrogen peroxide, peroxide Hydrogen continues to disperse throughout the air and onto surfaces.
CASPR has been proven to eliminate 99.96% of pathogens in the air and on surfaces. Recent independent research has concluded that the technology provided by CASPR is more than twice as effective as any competing technology.
“Our technology was created for the medical industry, but we quickly discovered that it could be equally effective in other industries, including public transport, where it not only sanitizes the air and surfaces, but also removes odors commonly found on buses and trains. , said CASPR CEO/CTO and Inventor Dr. Christopher Succi.
New Hampshire-based Environmental Disinfection Solutions (EDS) was instrumental in installing CASPR Transit units on PVTA’s buses.
“We applaud PVTA for taking the lead in providing a safer environment for its bus passengers,” said EDS President Ken McCarthy. “Having real-world results makes it easy to become enthusiastic about CASPR’s technology and how it can help ensure The safety of our people and our interior spaces.”
