Bolivar, Missouri owners ordered to refund money, ban construction

BOLIVAR, Missouri (KY3) – A Bolivarian business owner who can no longer operate a business in the Show-Me state has been ordered to reimburse clients totaling more than $250,000 following a “on your side” investigation.

We’re talking about Jerry Shane Fellers of Build Tech Structures. Clients paid thousands of dollars for pole storage. No work is done. Or they get something that is considered shoddy and unfinished.

You may recall that in June 2021, Fellers told On Your Side customers would have until late summer to get their money back or build barns. This never happened.

The Missouri attorney general filed more than a dozen felony charges and fraudulent business practices. The case is pending.

His probation was then revoked in Oklahoma. There he pleaded guilty to similar charges.

The Missouri attorney general also filed a civil suit. He is serving time in a cell in Oklahoma.

He never responded. Now he has default judgment. He was ordered to repay more than $350,000 in refunds and fines. Upon release from prison, he will be permanently barred from selling construction services in Missouri again.
