Actor Jeremy Renner was in a “critical but stable condition” after he was injured Sunday while clearing snow, according to his publicist.
Publicist Samantha Mast told ABC News affiliate KABC: “As of now, we can confirm that Jeremy is in critical but stable condition, having suffered an accident while plowing snow earlier today. Weather-related accident.” “His family is with him and he is well cared for.”
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office said Renner was airlifted from the scene of the accident in Reno, Nevada, to a local hospital.

“At approximately 9 a.m. on January 1, 2023, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident of trauma that occurred in the Rose Hills Freeway area of Reno, Nevada,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
Officials said they were investigating what happened.
“Mr. Rainer was the only party involved in the incident,” the sheriff’s office said.
Renner, 51, played Hawkeye in Marvel’s “Avengers” franchise. He’s the star of Marvel’s “Hawkeye” series on Disney+. He was nominated for an Academy Award for The Small Town and The Hurt Locker.
