A magnitude 3.6 earthquake struck the San Francisco Bay Area early Saturday morning. The quake struck at around 3:39 a.m. and was centered less than a mile northeast of El Cerrito at a depth of 3.6 miles, according to the US Geological Survey. There were reports of weak or mild shaking in the area, according to USGS maps.

A magnitude 3.6 earthquake struck the San Francisco Bay Area early Saturday morning.
